FADING


Once,it stood out in all its glory...it's splendour
A colorful masterpiece
T'was shimmering with alluring beauty
A rich display of colours nicely laid out
So lovely it left a dent in one's mind
Often I'd stare in awe
Wondering how unspoken beauty can be conjured up in one landscape


Now,
T'was all gone
It's beauty slowly disappearing
Dissolving...Going bland
Canvas peeling...Colours now dull
The once enticing artwork was slowly fading away

And so are thoughts of you,
Unbidden thoughts appearing in a flash
You with those beautiful midnight black eyes
Eyes with a deep penetrating icy stare
With their long thick lashes
Shielding those inner thoughts
Shielding that enigmatic expression
Eyes that spoke volumes
Piercing through my soul
Awakening my inner being
You with that rich bubbling sound of laughter
Reminding me of the first drops of rain after a long dry season
The reassuring firm big hands
Rugged...coarse...always reaching out for mine
With promises of never letting go.
Again...the day's growth of beard
With the just crawled out of the bed look that is so sexy
I'd always call you TDD with an H
Tall dark and dangerous
Yes dangerous cos your rueful smile did things to my insides


And Now,
These are only memories,
Memories that are slowly fading
Fading into oblivion.
Just like the once beautiful painting
Yes slowly fading away...
Or is it...?

IS IT WRONG FOR A WOMAN TO RESPECTFULLY APPROACH A MAN SHE IS INTERESTED IN?

       
From my own perspective I think it is wrong.Men are hunters by nature...They'd value what they worked hard to obtain because it gives them a sense of satisfaction that is why they prefer challenging games like soccer,basketball...Challenge is what spurs their interest.They are wired that way...they can be likened to the lion who spots a frightened antelope..it interest him,he chases after it,pounces on it...then devours it eventually.For him it's a hearty meal,one he worked hard to get.However if this same antelope falls at the feet of the lion dead and available...the lion cowers away in disgust...he wouldn't even want to touch it...this attitude mirrors that of a man.its inborn.Nature wired them that way.
           A man would always prefer an independent,focused and ambitious lady to one who is needy,who is an attention addict and not goal oriented.He'd go for a 'busy' woman because he is not paying attention to him,is self fulfilled and is not readily available...In other words,She has got a life.To a guy,She is a challenge,one he is  ever ready to conquer,even if the only way to conquer is by making a commitment....a life long one.
